MAGNESITE THINNER BASED COATING
(GRADE NAME- SILKCOAT MA-311)

A premium Magnesite filled with low Silica thinner based liquid wash for application on moulds and cores to give excellent casting finish in the casting of Manganese steel. It consists of high quality Magnesite powder with excellent suspension and covering properties. It is necessary to coat the sand surface which comes into contact with molten metal. With our coatings, it prevents erosion, metal stroke, mould reaction and sand burn on.

Magnesite thinner based coating (Silkcoat MA-311)— It is a ready-to-use liquid coating. It is applied by spraying, swabbing or brushing.

Specification

  • Appearance : Brownish creamy liquid.
  • Specific Gravity : 1.5-1.6
  • Viscosity : 16 +/-1sec.
  • Solids : 62 +/- 2%
  • Baume : 50 +/-2°

GRAPHITE THINNER BASED COATING
(GRADE NAME- SILKCOAT GA-III)

It is Graphite filled thinner based liquid wash for application on Green sand, Silicate sand for moulds and cores to give excellent casting finish. It consists of high quality Graphite powder with excellent suspension and covering properties when casting of CI, Ni, & Cu based alloys done with Green sand, CO2 set, Resin bonded sand moulds & cores. It is necessary to coat the sand surface which comes into contact with molten metal. With our coatings, it prevents erosion, metal stroke, mould reaction and sand burn on.

Graphite thinner based coating (Silkcoat GA-III)- It is a ready-to-use liquid coating. It is applied by spraying or brushing.

ZIRCON THINNER BASED COATING
(GRADE NAME- SILKCOAT ZA-2561)

A premium Zircon filled high refractory thinner based liquid wash for application on Green sand, Silicate sand for moulds and cores to give excellent casting finish even on heavy Steel casting. It consists of high quality Zircon refractory powder with excellent suspension and covering properties for castings of high temperature alloys such as Steel, CI, Ni, & Cu with Green sand , CO2 set, & resin bonded sand moulds & cores. It is necessary to coat the sand surface which comes into contact with molten metal. With our coatings, it prevents erosion, metal stroke, mould reaction and sand burn on.

Zircon thinner based coating (Silkcoat ZA-2561)— It is a ready-to-use liquid coating. It is applied by spraying, swabbing or brushing.

ZIRCON WATER BASED COATING
(GRADE NAME- SILKCOAT ZW-1001)

A premium Zircon filled high refractory water based liquid wash for application on Resin bonded sand made moulds and cores to give excellent casting finish on heavy Steel casting. It consists of high quality Zircon refractory powder with excellent suspension and covering properties. It has good thixotropic properties which prevents run and drips. It contains High refractory loading which withstand for metallostatic pressure in Heavy casting. It is necessary to coat the sand surface which comes into contact with molten metal. With our coatings, it prevents erosion, metal stroke, mould reaction and sand burn on.

Zircon water based coating (Silk coat ZW-1001) — It is a ready-to-use liquid coating. It is applied by swabbing or brushing.

  • Baume : 90 +/-10°

Ester cured Phenolic No-Bake resin
(GRADE NAME- COOLSET 3010)

This is the most users- friendly No bake chemical binder system. All types of materials viz. Steel, Iron, Aluminium and Bronze can be cast using COOLSET 3010 / COOLSET 3020 system. Being Nitrogen free and having good thermal characteristic, it produce Nitrogen and hot tear defect free castings. Hence, COOLSET 3010 / COOLSET 3020 System is recommended for making critical and high value steel castings. Binder being fully water miscible, this system is easy to clean with water.

Acid cured Phenolic No-Bake resin
(GRADE NAME- COOLSET 1001)

COOLSET 1001 is a completely nitrogen free Phenolic resin, activated with acid catalyst and used in production of steel, alloy steels and sophisticated iron castings, specially those which are prone to subsurface NITROGEN PINHOLING. The product is highly recommended for use in thick section castings as it offers high hot strength, excellent scratch hardness at high temperature, resistance to metal penetration and mould dilation.

Furan NO-BAKE RESIN
(GRADE NAME- COOLSET 5001)

This is a two part No Bake Binder System which is composed of:

  • COOLSET 5001 – Part 1 – Binder : Furfuryl Alcohol and Urea Formaldehyde Co-polymer.
  • COOLSET H /301, H /501 – Part 2 – Catalyst : Aqueous solution of Aryl Sulfonic Acid.

This is a versatile No Bake chemical binder system widely used in foundries. Ferrous and Non ferrous metals can be cast using COOLSET 5001 system. It is characterized by high strengths and good collapsibility.

Specification

  • Appearance : Pale yellow to light brown clear liquid./li>
  • Viscosity : 18 – 25 sec. at 30°C by B4 Cup.
  • Specific Gravity : 1.120 to 1.170 at 30° C.
  • PH : 6.5 to 7.5.
  • Free Formaldehyde : < 1%
  • Nitrogen Content : 2.5 – 4%

Co2 cured phenolic resin
(GRADE NAME- COOLTEC 4020)

COOLTEC 4020 is single part Cold Box Foundry Binder. It consists of alkaline phenolic resin which is dissolved in water. This resin is cured by CO2 gas.

Applications
COOLTEC 4020 system is suited for making sand cores and molds in foundries at high production rate since the shape hardens in few seconds to few minutes. In this process, sand mixed with COOLTEC 4020 is blown or hand rammed in to core / mould box followed by passage of CO2 gas to form hard core / mold. This system is usable for casting ferrous and non-ferrous metal.
